Jim Gibson

Jim Gibson serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Sequoia since May 2023, focusing on modernizing compensation and benefits to enhance talent retention and attraction. Prior to this role, Jim held the CFO position at Willow Innovations, Inc. from January 2021 to October 2022, where significant revenue growth and $32 million in Series C financing were achieved. Earlier experience includes leadership roles at GoDaddy, BioElectron Technology Corporation, Edison Pharmaceuticals, Apple, Tesla Motors, Affymetrix, Netflix, and ATMI – Ecosys Corporation. Throughout these positions, Jim has demonstrated a strong ability to drive financial growth, manage complex financial operations, and support significant business transformations. Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics from UC Santa Barbara, obtained between 1987 and 1991.
