Seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager with experience in Environmental Health & Stafey to help management, execution, and day to day support of the Corrective Maintenance (CM) and Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program for critical (GxP) and non-critical lab, manufacturing, and facility utilities, equipment and systems. This person will work to coordinate and prioritize workflow within cGMP environments at our various clients.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, coordinate and oversee outside service providers for routine CM and PM Program tasks provided under building, system or equipment maintenance contacts.
  • Support with PIDs, HVAC, electrical, one-lines, and process flow diagrams (PFDs).
  • Establishes annual and on-going goals for the operations and maintenance departments. 
  • Develops and implements a site operation plan for each site and facility, to operate safely and in compliance with applicable quality systems standards for current federal, state and local regulations.
  • Oversees maintenance staff activities to ensure manufacturing process rooms are operating in a validated state and a state of audit readiness.
  • Directs maintenance management to create, develop and maintain a response program to ensure capable 24-7 response to plant emergencies and oversees the assignment of staff for emergency and unscheduled repair.
  • Oversees the establishment and implementation of procedures to ensure all facilities related equipment (electrical, HVAC, general facilities) are properly maintained and in continual effective working order.
  • Directs the development and implementation of a PM program and a computerized work order management system (CMMS) to minimize unplanned equipment downtime.
  • Oversees the installation and the development of preventative maintenance procedures for new process and related equipment.
  • Oversees the planning, scheduling and maintaining of all PMs for manufacturing equipment to ensure an orderly distribution of assignments and that the assigned staff is properly trained.
  • Monitors equipment and spare parts inventory and directs orders be placed in advance to ensure sufficient equipment and spare parts are available.
  • Directs the management of client construction projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Oversees construction projects to ensure they are performed as directed and compliant with applicable industry standards.
  • Oversees the management of outside client property ensuring it continually maintains Company standards. 
  • Responsible for hiring, motivating and building the capabilities of the operations and maintenance departments.
  • Oversees the quality of work and performance of the operations and maintenance teams and directs management staff to coach and recognize individuals as appropriate.
  • Directs the development of training to ensure that all maintenance staff is trained appropriately and their training is documented for tasks assigned.
  • Directs the development and implementation of efficient and cost-effective processes and utility systems to meet current and future operational needs of the organization.
  • Directs the selection, oversees the performance of, and addresses gaps in the performance of outside vendors who perform work on behalf of the Operation department.
  • Support team with active construction.
  • Ensure all CM and PM Program tasks are completed and documented properly according to policies and procedures.
  • Perform, schedule, coordinate and oversee emergency troubleshooting and repair on various HVAC, mechanical, utility systems, and lab and manufacturing (GxP and non-GxP).

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, building maintenance or other related degree and/or commensurate experience is required. One year of maintenance management experience would substitute for one year of a college related degree program. 
  • Ten plus years of experience with maintaining and installing mechanical production equipment, especially experience with motors, drives, electrical control equipment is preferred.
  • Seven plus years of experience with maintaining and installing facilities and building related equipment, and developing building maintenance programs, especially experience with electrical and HVAC equipment maintenance and installation is preferred.
  • Prior experience developing and implementing successful equipment and facilities reliability and preventative maintenance programs is preferred.
  • Experience in chemical, and/or materials manufacturing would be ideal. Example of industries would include: chemical, bio-pharmaceutical, food, fragrance, etc.
  • Process Equipment, GMP, & CAPEX experience preferred
  • Must have strong, collaboration, communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • The position requires a highly motivated, independent, detail-oriented team player. Good organization, initiative, and a collaborative attitude is essential.
Salary Range
$106,991.88—$152,382.37 USD
