Senior Scientist, Bioinformatics at SeQure DX

Sara Dunaj has a diverse work experience in the field of bioinformatics and computational biology. Sara is currently working at SeQure Dx as a Senior Scientist, Bioinformatics. Prior to this, they worked at Bridge Informatics and Decibel Therapeutics in senior roles, where they supported clients with genomics-based analysis needs, developed analysis workflows for target discovery and validation, and guided the design of gene therapies. Sara also had experience as a Senior Computational Scientist at Directed Genomics.

Earlier in their career, Sara worked at Translate Bio as a Bioinformatics Scientist and Bioinformatics Associate, where they contributed to various genomics projects. Sara also held positions at Epizyme, Good Start Genetics, Takeda Oncology, Broad Institute, and the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where they gained research and teaching experience in biological sciences and environmental microbiology.

Sara Dunaj is a highly educated individual with a strong background in biomedical engineering and biotechnology. Sara obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2009. Building on this foundation, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Biological Sciences at the same university from 2010 to 2011. To further their knowledge and expertise, Sara went on to complete a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, graduating in 2018. Their extensive education in the field has provided their with a deep understanding of the subject matter and a solid foundation for their career.
