Kei Inoue

Scientist III, Product and Process Development at Serán Bioscience

Kei Inoue has worked in a variety of roles since 2016. In 2021, they are a Scientist II, R&D Analytical and a Vice President at Serán Bioscience, LLC and Bend Biomedical, respectively. In 2020, they were an MSI Intern at Lonza. In 2018, they were a Research Assistant at Oregon Health & Science University. From 2016-2018, they were a John S. Rogers Research Fellow, a SAAB Private Tutor, a SAAB Private Mathematics Tutor, and a Chemistry Laboratory Teaching Assistant at Lewis and Clark College. In their roles, Inoue has designed and executed experiments related to tech transfer to GMP, method characterization, and characterization of amorphous dispersion products and oral dosage form products for CoA and CoT issuance. Kei has also implemented department-wide Kanban inventory systems, contributed to product development of amorphous solid dispersion products, explored the abiotic natural attenuation of nitroaromatic explosive materials, identified the compositions of natural iron mineral samples, compiled kinetic data sets from literature, studied degradation of neurotoxic pesticides, and calculated the activation energy of catalyzed degradation of organophosphate pesticides.

Kei Inoue attended IMG Academy from 2011 to 2014, where they obtained their high school diploma. Kei then attended Lewis & Clark College from 2014 to 2018, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. In 2019, they enrolled in the University of Oregon Graduate School, where they earned a Master of Science in Chemistry in 2020.
