Brian Brown

Brian Brown is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in economic development and business management. Currently serving as Business Development Manager at Southeast Rural Community Assistance Project, Inc. (SERCAP) since August 2021, Brian focuses on supporting economically distressed, minority, and women-owned businesses in rural areas. As the Founder of Spoke Consulting, started in March 2021, Brian aids in developing partnerships between businesses and local governments. Previously held positions include Executive Director of the Industrial Development Authority of Halifax County, Market Executive at Countryside Services Company, and Director of Economic Development for the City of Buena Vista, among others. Brian holds a B.S. in Social Science from Liberty University and a B.S. in Political Science and Sociology from Longwood University.
