Ali B. Akel

Ali B. Akel has had a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Ali B. is currently the Head of Corporate Platform & Data Engineering at Serco since September 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an EPM Lead at Serco from March 2021 to September 2023.

Before joining Serco, Ali worked at NTT DATA Business Solutions UK&I as a Team Lead and Solution Architect from April 2014 to March 2021. Ali B. also had a brief stint as a Freelance Senior EPM Consultant from June 2013 to December 2013.

Ali's earlier experience includes working at SAP as a Senior EPM Consultant from January 2011 to June 2013, and at Bizcon Consulting Ltd. as a SAP BI Consultant from August 2008 to December 2010.

Ali B. Akel holds a Master of Arts degree in Business Information Systems from Boğaziçi University, which they obtained from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies in Manufacturing Systems Engineering at Sabancı University from 2004 to 2008. Ali B. received their high school education from Üsküdar American Academy between 1993 and 2000. In addition to their formal education, Ali has obtained certifications in "An Enterprise Architect's View on SAP Business Technology Platform" from SAP and "Python for Data Science and AI" from Coursera, both in 2021.
