Rob Pinna

VP Engineering and Product at Serenity

Rob Pinna has over 35 years of work experience in the technology industry. Rob began their career in 1984 as a Lead Software Architect at Hewlett-Packard, where they were responsible for network management and network test equipment. In 1991, they founded Software Edge, where they developed the first bug tracking system in the industry. Software Edge was later acquired for $10M and became PVCS Tracker. In 1995, they founded Mobilize, a 130-person firm focused on providing mobile solutions to field sales and operations personnel. Rob raised $22M in Venture Capital for the company and served as President and CEO. In 2002, they became a consultant at Rally Software Development, where they worked with hundreds of VP's of Engineering on large scale Agile transformations and designed and executed most of Rally's content marketing initiatives. In 2013, they co-founded Cofamilies, Inc., a mobile/web SaaS application for divorced parents. Rob also served as Software Engineer and Coparent. In 2014, they were hired at Bank of America as an Executive Consultant to lead an organizational change management initiative and raise internal funding for an Identity Management workstream. In 2016, they joined CommercialTribe as Chief Product Officer and VP Engineering, where they were responsible for the vision, roadmap and backlog for products and services. Rob also led a large scale Agile transformation. In 2018, they joined IronCore Labs as Chief Product Officer, where they helped Enterprise SaaS application developers implement data privacy. In 2019, they joined Serenity as VP Engineering and Product.

Rob Pinna has a long educational history. Rob obtained a BS in Computer Science and Applied Math from Stony Brook University between 1979 and 1983. In 1983, they returned to Stony Brook University and obtained an MS in Electrical Engineering in 1984. Rob has also obtained three certifications: Cryptography I from Coursera in March 2018, Inbound Certified from HubSpot in May 2018, and SAFe Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc.
