Rebecca Andrew

Rebecca Andrew has extensive work experience in quality management. Rebecca is currently working as the Associate Director of Quality at Sernova Corp. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Quality at Trimaster Manufacturing and HPG Inc. from 2021 to 2022. From 2020 to 2021, Rebecca held the position of Quality Manager at Trimaster Manufacturing.

Rebecca's previous experience includes working as the Quality Assurance & Quality Systems Manager at Excelitas Technologies Corp. from 2018 to 2020. In this role, they were responsible for implementing and managing compliant FDA 21 CFR 820 and ISO 9001:2015/ISO 13485:2016 Quality Management Systems. Rebecca oversaw various quality processes, such as deviations, root cause analysis, nonconforming products, and audits.

Before joining Excelitas Technologies Corp., Rebecca worked at Christie Digital Systems as a Senior Quality Specialist from 2017 to 2018 and as a Quality Specialist from 2015 to 2017. Rebecca also gained experience in quality management at St. Jude Medical, where they served as a Senior Quality Specialist from 2011 to 2015 and as a Quality Specialist from 2009 to 2011.

Rebecca's early career involved roles as a Risk Management and Internal Audit Specialist at GeneNews Corporation from 2007 to 2009, and as a Clinical Research Associate at Apotex and Vasogen from 2006 to 2007 and 2005 to 2006, respectively.

Rebecca Andrew has a diverse education history with multiple degrees and certifications. Rebecca completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biology at the University of Guelph from 1999 to 2002. Rebecca then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Saskatchewan from 2002 to 2005. Rebecca furthered their education by obtaining a Certificate in Human Resource Management from the University of Calgary from 2004 to 2010.

Rebecca's pursuit of professional development continued with a Master of Science (MS) degree in Quality Assurance from California State University, which they achieved between 2008 and 2011. Rebecca also holds a Regulatory Certificate for Medical Devices from the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society, which they completed in 2013.

In addition to their academic achievements, Rebecca has acquired several certifications. Rebecca obtained Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from Simplicity Advantage in April 2022. Rebecca earned the Lead Auditor Management Systems (ISO 19011:2018) certification from Auditor Training Online Pty Ltd in November 2021. Rebecca completed the Launch into Leadership program offered by ExecOnline, Inc. in December 2019.

Rebecca holds multiple certifications from the ASQ - World Headquarters, including the ASQ Certified Supplier Quality Professional obtained in January 2023 and a second ASQ Certified Supplier Quality Professional certification. Rebecca also obtained the ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence certification in March 2021.

Lastly, Rebecca obtained the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification from Exemplar Global, Inc. in September 2020 and the Certified Internal Management Systems Auditor certification from the same institution in August 2022.
