Huaiyuan Zhang

Huaiyuan Zhang is a scientist who has worked at multiple companies and academic institutions. Most recently, they worked at Serotiny starting in February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Sorrento Therapeutics, Inc. as a scientist from August 2021 to February 2022. Their earliest experience was at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where they worked as a PhD researcher from May 2016 to August 2021. During their time as a researcher, their focus was on studying mitochondrial dynamics and quality control. They also worked as a teaching assistant at the Illinois Institute of Technology from August 2015 to August 2021.

Huaiyuan Zhang pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biotechnology from Jilin University in the years 2008 to 2013. Following this, Zhang enrolled in Illinois Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from 2014 to 2016. Subsequently, Zhang continued their education at Illinois Institute of Technology and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology between the years 2016 and 2021.
