Susan Korson has a wide range of work experience in various roles and industries. Susan started their career as a Financial Analyst at JPMorgan Chase in 1992 and later became a VP Operations Manager. In 2001, they transitioned to ButterFlake Aqua Farms, where they served as an Operations Manager until 2005. From 2008 to 2013, they worked at Sterling Accounting & Tax as an Accounting/Business Manager. Susan then joined Jackson County ISD as a Payroll Specialist from 2013 to 2015. Susan's next position was as the Finance Director/Treasurer at the City of Leslie from 2015 to 2018. Susan then became a Staff Accountant at DGN, LLC in 2018 and currently holds the role of Accounting Manager/HR Director at Serra Traverse City since October 2020.

Susan Korson has a diverse educational background in the field of accounting and business administration. Susan first attended Ferris State University, where they studied accounting. After that, in 1994, they enrolled at the University of Phoenix and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration and Management. Continuing their education, they pursued a Masters Degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations at the University of Phoenix from 1997 to 2000.

In 2017, Susan attended Kaplan University to acquire a Graduate Accounting Certificate, further expanding their knowledge and expertise in accounting. In addition to their formal education, they also hold a certification as a Quick Books Pro Advisor from Intuit.
