The Role

Servant is seeking a User Experience Researcher to join our Product Design team. This individual will be instrumental in uncovering user insights that drive the development of outstanding digital experiences. We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical problem solver, capable of applying research methodologies to inform user-centered design decisions.

Additionally, your strong communication skills enable you to effectively convey complex research findings.

Responsibilities:

Research Leadership: Lead and inspire the research team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence, while driving the research direction and vision for projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

Project Collaboration: Partner with project managers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project goals and requirements, with a focus on the development and execution of research plans that align with project objectives.

User Insights: Apply a range of research methods, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and analytics, to gather user insights and translate these research findings into actionable recommendations for design and development teams.

Team Development: Identify and cultivate the research talents of team members by conducting regular reviews and providing mentorship to support their professional growth.

Collaborative Process: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate research insights seamlessly into project workflows and collaborate with designers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure user-centered design decisions.

Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their vision and requirements and present and explain research findings to them, incorporating their feedback for refinement.

Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality standards for research deliverables and conduct regular reviews to ensure consistency and alignment with project goals.

Budget and Resource Management: Assist in managing research project budgets and coordinate resource allocation to ensure optimal team efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated ability in user research including strong portfolio demonstrating successful research projects and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with digital design and multimedia projects.
  • Familiarity with user research tools and analytics.
  • Previous experience in management consulting preferred.
