John Henderson has a diverse work experience, starting as a Senior Auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co. from 1989 to 1991. John then worked as a Senior Specialist in European Internal Audit at Nortel from 1992 to 1993. John later joined Guinness and served as the Director of West African Internal Audit from 1993 to 1996. From 1997 to 1999, they worked as the Financial Controller for Americas and Caribbean at Guinness.

In 2000, John held the role of Acting Chief Executive Officer at Netcom Consulting Group Inc subsidiary of Kinnevik AB. John also worked at IWG plc, where they started as the Director of Best Practice in 2000. John eventually became the Chief Financial Officer for Asia Pacific, responsible for the region's financial operations and assuming CEO responsibilities for Singapore, Malaysia, and Taiwan. After that, John served as the Chief Executive Officer for Australia and New Zealand at IWG plc from 2015 to 2018.

John'smost recent role was as the Chief Operating Officer at Servcorp starting in 2020. In this position, they oversaw sales, operations, business development, and financial performance for the APAC region, with a focus on ensuring market relevance and maintaining profitability during the COVID-19 pandemic.

John Henderson CA(SA) GAICD has a strong educational background in finance, accounting, and business. John holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance, General from UNSW, which they obtained in 2019. Additionally, they have completed a short course, "Shaping Strategy to Create Value," at AGSM @ UNSW Business School.

John is a Chartered Accountant, with accreditation from SAICA (The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants). John has also earned a Dipp Acc degree in Accounting and a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

In terms of additional certifications, John has obtained a certification in "Strategic and adaptive leadership" from AGSM @ UNSW Business School in May 2019.
