Shingo Murakami

Shingo Murakami currently serves as the Director of Corporate Planning at SmartNews, Inc. since January 2022. Prior to this role, Shingo held various positions at Google from July 2014 to December 2021, including Head of Payment Innovation Partnerships and Activations and Head of Go-To-Market for Japan. Shingo's earlier experience includes serving as CEO and COO of Rakuten UK, as well as roles in Rakuten, Inc. and McKinsey & Company. Shingo began a career at ITOCHU Corporation as a Manager. Shingo holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Kyoto University.
