Bevan Hannan

Bevan Hannan is the Acting General Manager of Communications at Services Australia. Bevan has over 20 years of experience working in media and communications, with a focus on the public sector.

Bevan started their career as a sports commentator for ABC Radio, before moving into media management with the Canberra Raiders rugby league team. Bevan then moved into the public sector, working as an advisor for the ACT Legislative Assembly and then as National Media Manager for Centrelink.

In 2006, Bevan was appointed National Manager of Media Communication and Government Relations for Medicare Australia. Bevan then moved to the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs as a Media Specialist.

In 2010, Bevan moved to Airservices Australia as Senior Advisor, Government Business. Bevan then returned to the public sector in 2011, joining the Australian Government Department of Human Services as Media and Communications Manager.

Bevan has been with Services Australia since 2017, and was appointed Acting General Manager of Communications in 2020.

Bevan Hannan reports to Susie Smith, Acting Deputy CEO, Strategy and Performance. They are on a team with Karen Harfield - General Manager, Enterprise Portfolio Management Office, Garrett McDonald - Chief Data Officer, and Julie Hockey - Acting General Manager, Face to Face Transformation.
