Anthony Marcellini has worked in the art industry for over 20 years. In 2020, they began working as an Art Studio Manager and PASC Program Lead and an Independent Contractor: Progressive Art Studio Leader for Services To Enhance Potential. From 2018-2019, they were the Programs and Exhibitions Manager for the non-profit Friendship Circle of Michigan, where they managed the programs and exhibitions of the Soul Studio and redesigned the studio program and gallery to better support disabled adults to develop contemporary art careers. From 2017-2019, they were an Adjunct Lecturer, an Independent Lecturer, an Adjunct Instructor, an Adjunct Professor, and a Guest Lecturer at Wayne State University, College for Creative Studies, Oakland University, and The Academy of Fine Arts, Prague, respectively. In 2008, they were a Teaching Assistant for First-year Core 3D Studio at California College of the Arts, where they taught students wood working, mold-making, general fabrication and construction skills, presented lectures on contemporary art and basic aesthetic theory, and led students in class critiques. Since 1999, they have also been an Independent Curator/Art Consultant, producing exhibitions of modern and contemporary art in museums and galleries.
Anthony Marcellini received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from California College of the Arts in 2000, with a major in Sculpture, drawing, painting, fabricaton, and exhibition making. Anthony then went on to receive a Masters of Fine Arts from the same institution in 2009, with a major in Social Practice.
