David Piwnica

David Piwnica holds extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, with a focus on oncology and pharmacology. As the Director and Head of the Pharmacology Department at Servier from February 2018 to February 2025, David advanced strategic therapeutic programs and managed a multidisciplinary team while overseeing the department's budget. Previously, David led the Cellular Biology department, managing over 45 researchers and technicians to support oncology, immune oncology, and rare diseases. At Galderma, experience included serving as Head of In Vitro Pharmacology, managing drug discovery projects in skin cancer and inflammation, and working as Cellular Pharmacology Unit Manager. Earlier roles at Eurofins-Cerep involved project management and strategic oversight of R&D teams. David holds a PhD in Oncology and Cancer Biology and a DEA in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Pierre and Marie Curie University.
