Rico Perez

Rico Perez has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Rico currently holds the position of Principal Project Engineer at SES Space & Defense, starting in August 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Manager, Principal Project Engineer at Leonardo DRS from February 2021 to July 2022, and as the Manager, Complex Solutions Architect from September 2017 to February 2021. Rico also gained valuable experience as a Senior Program Engineer at DRS Technologies, Inc. from January 2013 to September 2017, and as a Program Engineer at DRS Defense Solutions, LLC from January 2011 to January 2013. Rico began their career as an Executive Communicator at USSOCOM from November 2006 to October 2010. Prior to that, they held the position of Communications Ops and Plans NCOIC at the 352d Special Operations Group (352d OSS) from November 2002 to November 2006. Rico's early experience includes working as a Communications Planner (352d) at SOCEUR from 1998 to 2006. Throughout their career, Rico has demonstrated their expertise and versatility in project management, engineering, and communications.

Rico Perez attended the Community College of the Air Force, where they obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Information Technology. Apart from their formal education, Rico also earned several additional certifications. Rico completed the Satellite Internet and Communications: Fundamentals course from LinkedIn in May 2022. In October 2013, they obtained the Security + certification from CompTIA, and in August 2012, they received the ITIL V3 Foundations certification from Pink Elephant.
