Sergio Baquero

Sergio Baquero has been working in the software engineering industry since 2015. Sergio began their career as the Director Fundador at Bee Smart SAS, where they were responsible for designing and programming mobile apps and specialized software written in JAVA, MySQL, PHP, JavaScript, SWIFT, Android, Node.js, and MongoDB, as well as managing Apache, Apache Tomcat, SQL, SMTP and Linux servers. In 2017, they moved to Grupo ASD as a Java Senior Software Developer, where they were responsible for team management, architecture design, and development of web services, Android applications, and Stand Alone artifacts. In 2018, they joined Prodigious Latin America as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2019, they worked at PayU as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were responsible for Java/Kotlin/AngularJS development, developing web services, microservices, Front End and Back End development, and checking project architecture implementation and good practices implementation. In 2020, they worked at S4N as a Back End Developer, contributing to the design and implementation of new functionalities, working with products deployed on AWS microservice environment, supported by K8s, GitLab CI/CD. Currently, they are employed at Seso Inc. and Terminal as a Full Stack Engineer, where they design and implements UI components, REST services, data management migrations procedures, and contributes to the communication between Product and Engineering areas.

Sergio Baquero completed their Program ThePowerMBA in Business Administration and Management, General from ThePower Business School between 2019 and 2020. Sergio also obtained a degree in Ingeniería Mecatrónica from Universidad Nacional de Colombia between 2009 and 2014. Additionally, they have obtained three certifications from Udemy: Docker for Java Developers, UX & Design Thinking, and Kotlin for Java Developers.
