Juan Vegas Renedo

Juan Vegas Renedo is a seasoned plant breeder with extensive experience in inbred line development and breeding project management at SESVANDERHAVE since June 2014. Prior roles include a postdoctoral position at Sejong University, focusing on QTL mapping, cucumber genomics, and disease resistance, as well as a PhD in quantitative genetics and genomics from the Centre for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG). Additional experience encompasses a research internship at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology and a role as a microbiology technician at Junta de Castilla y León. Juan has advanced education with a PhD and MS in plant genetics from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and further studies in biochemistry, plant science, and an Erasmus program at the University of Göttingen.
