Robbert van der Bijl

Robbert van der Bijl has extensive work experience in software engineering and controls engineering. Robbert currently holds the position of Director, Controls Engineering at Seurat Technologies, where they have been working since October 2019. Prior to that, they worked as the Principal Software Engineer at Seurat Technologies starting from August 2016. Robbert also served as the Director, Software Engineering at GT Advanced Technologies from March 2015 to August 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at KMC Systems Inc. from December 2014 to March 2015. From May 2010 to December 2014, Robbert served as the Software Engineering Manager at GT Advanced Technologies, where they managed direct reports, handled project management, and demonstrated technical leadership. Robbert started their career at GT Solar as a Software Systems Engineer, where they led software development and architectural tasks for GT Solar's furnaces. Before that, they worked at QA Technology Company as a Software Systems Engineer, focusing on software design, IT, networking, server design and maintenance, and business intelligence server and report design. Early in their career, Robbert held positions such as Systems Engineer at BESI Die Handling, Systems Engineer at RD Automation, and Software Engineer at Philips Enabling Technologies Group, where they worked on various aspects of software development and engineering.

Robbert van der Bijl began their education at GSW, where they completed their VWO degree from 1987 to 1995. Following this, from 1994 to 1998, they attended Fontys University of Applied Sciences, obtaining a B.Sc./Ing. degree in Applied Physics.
