Maxwell Ruel

Maxwell Ruel is a dedicated professional in the field of youth and young adult homelessness, currently serving as a Residential Counselor at The Home for Little Wanderers since January 2023 and working as a Freelance Public Speaker with the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless since February 2017. Previous experiences include roles at Breaktime as a Recruitment Coordinator, More Than Words as a Youth Development Coordinator and Senior Partner, and the Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth as a Per Diem Staff and Program Assistant. Additional contributions to the community include public speaking at the Y2Y Speaker Bureau and training shelter staff at Y2Y Harvard Square. Maxwell holds a Bachelor’s Degree and an Associate’s Degree in Psychology from Dean College, further demonstrating a strong educational foundation in understanding the complexities of homelessness.
