Patient Care Advocate at Seven Starling

Camilla Mason has a history of working in various roles in the social services sector. In 2016, they began their career as a Frontier Missionary at Finish the Task, where they collaborated with team members to conduct daily meetings, follow up on goals, and strategize how to best service the community. Camilla also established community building assistance to those who were suffering from refugee displacement through effective and socially aware relationship building. In 2020, they became a Program Coordinator at Apartment Life, where they connected, encouraged, and served apartment residents, and facilitated social gatherings and special events to build relationships and strengthen the apartment community. In 2021, they began working as a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern at The Worth, Wisdom, and Wellness Center LLC, where they completed practicum hours serving clients through mental health counseling sessions and various daily responsibilities. Her therapeutic specializations included a mixture of person-centered theory, psychodynamic theory, EMDR, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and faith-based approaches depending on the clients needs. Camilla is currently employed as a Patient Care Advocate and Care Coordinator at Seven Starling.

Camilla Mason attended Spelman College from 2011 to 2015, earning a degree in Theirtory with a focus in African Studies. Camilla then continued their education at Northwestern University, where they are currently pursuing a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, expected to be completed in 2022.
