Alison Beckett

Alison Beckett joined the Governing Body in 2013 and has been Chair of the Education Committee. She was appointed Chair of Governors in 2020. She attended the City of London School for Girls, read Geography at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, and gained an MBA at London Business School.

Alison has worked in consulting firms and industry. She started her career at Ford Motor Company. After her MBA she joined the strategy consultants Arthur D Little and then worked in the upstream oil industry for Conoco in Aberdeen and London in Finance and Commercial leadership roles. She is a consultant at Egon Zehnder, the leading global executive search firm. Her work takes her all over the world working with Executive teams on leadership advisory work and on board and executive search. She has two grown-up daughters who studied at Sevenoaks School and live in London. She is also a Nonexecutive committee member of the Finance and General Purposes Committee at ZLS the Zoological Society of London.
