Stuart Layton

Stuart Layton has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Stuart most recently worked at SEVENROOMS as the VP of Engineering, starting in June 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Engineering at Thrive from October 2022 to May 2023. Stuart also worked at HubSpot, where they held several roles including Director of Engineering, Senior Engineering Manager - Data Infrastructure, Engineering Group Lead - CRM, Engineering Lead - CRM, and Tech Lead - CRM Backend. Stuart was with HubSpot from October 2015 to October 2022. Before their time at HubSpot, Stuart worked at BitSight Technologies as an Engineering Manager for the Data Science Team and as a Senior Analytics Engineer from August 2014 to October 2015 and April 2013 to November 2014, respectively. Stuart started their career at MIT as a Phd Student and Research Assistant, focusing on developing and validating novel decoding methods and conducting statistical analysis on multi-channel data. Stuart also served as a Teaching Assistant during their time at MIT.

Stuart Layton pursued their education in neuroscience from 2007 to 2013 at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). During this period, they successfully completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Neuroscience.
