Ian Dawson

Ian Dawson has over 30 years of work experience in the structural engineering field. Ian started their career as a Structural Design Draughtsman at Bone Steel in 1988 and worked there until 1993. Ian then worked at various companies including Harry Marsh and Barrett Steel Buildings Ltd as a Graduate Structural Engineer. In 1997, they joined Fairhurst as a Structural Engineer and later moved to Cleveland Bridge UK in 1998, where they worked as a Senior Structural Design Engineer until 2003. Currently, they are serving as a Design Director at Severfield.

Ian Dawson attended the University of Sunderland from 1993 to 1995, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with Management. Prior to that, from 1991 to 1993, they studied Civil Engineering at Teesside University, earning an HNC qualification. Ian also completed their ONC in Building Studies at Wearside College Sunderland from 1990 to 1992. Their secondary education was at Shotton Hall Comprehensive.
