Daniel Place

Daniel Place, SPHR, SHRMSCP has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources. Daniel served as the Vice President of Human Resources and later as the Human Resources Director at Sevita from October 2011 to May 2016. Prior to that, they worked at BP as a Human Resources Advisor from January 2004 to September 2011. Daniel also has a long tenure at JCPenney where they held the position of Human Resources Manager from June 1985 to April 2003. Currently, Daniel is an Advisory Board Member for Transformative Leadership in Disruptive Times at the University of California, Riverside, starting in November 2021.

Daniel Place, SPHR, SHRMSCP holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Management and Human Resources from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona. Daniel has obtained additional certifications including the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM in 2015, the SPHR- Senior Human Resources Professional from HR Certification Institute - HRCI in 2011, and the Certified Labor Relations Professional from Michigan State University School of Human Resources and Labor Relations in 2008.
