Shelly Leonida, SPHR has a wealth of experience in human resources, starting in 1999 as the Director of Attorney Placement at Templeton & Associates. From there, they worked at HR Innovations as the Operations & Recruiting Manager, overseeing HR, benefits administration, payroll, and client development operations. Shelly then moved on to Schopf & Weiss LLP, where they served as the Director of Human Resources, managing day-to-day operations, firm-wide recruiting, and benefits administration. In 2008, Shelly joined Levenfeld Pearlstein, LLC as the Director of Human Resources, leading all HR operations for the mid-sized law firm and achieving significant growth in headcount and revenue. Shelly also implemented various programs and strategies to enhance employee engagement and well-being. Following their tenure at Levenfeld Pearlstein, Shelly worked at DLA Piper as a Human Resources Manager and later as a Senior Human Resources Manager. In these roles, they played a key role in HR management and contributed to the overall success of the firm. Currently, Shelly holds the position of Regional Director of Human Resources - Midwest/West Coast at Seyfarth Shaw LLP.

Shelly Leonida, SPHR, holds a J.D. degree from Valparaiso University School of Law, which they obtained from 1990 to 1993. Prior to that, they earned a B.A. degree in Political Science and Economics from DePauw University between 1986 and 1990. In addition to their education, they also possess certifications as an SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) and holds a White Belt in Legal Project Management.
