Thilak is a Senior Governance, Risk, and Cybersecurity Consultant with extensive experience in IT governance, risk management, and security consulting. Currently serving at IT Governance and Risk Consulting (Pvt) Ltd. since April 2012, Thilak has played a pivotal role in providing consulting services in these domains. At Seylan Bank PLC, since October 1997, Thilak has held multiple senior roles, including Assistant General Manager for Operational and Information Risk Management, responsible for risk governance and implementation since 2008, and Assistant General Manager for Information System Audit and Security since 1997. Thilak leads the ISSA Sri Lanka Chapter as President since October 2007. Educational credentials include an MBA from the Post Graduate Institute of Management and various professional certifications in information security and governance. Additional qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, certification as a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka, and multiple industry-related certifications.
