Ari Valtanen

Ari Valtanen has had a long and successful career in technology. In 1990, they began their career as a Co-owner and Systems Analyst at Contex Information Oy. Two years later, they co-founded Solid Information Technology, where they worked in a range of roles including SW architect, sales engineer, product manager, VP of engineering, and CTO for 15 years. In 2012, they took a sabbatical as an artist and explorer. In 2013, they became Co-Founder, CEO, and CTO of Common Tribes, where they leveraged technology and product development expertise to create and deploy minimum viable product (MVP) concepts. In 2014, they joined BootstrapLabs as a Global Venture Partner, and Low Latency Consulting LLC as a Principal. Ari also served as a Board Member and VP Products at Continuent. In 2015, they joined VMware as a Sr. Director, vCloud Availability Engineering CPSBU, where they functioned as a founding member of a small cross-functional team of intrapreneurs. In 2018, they became Chief Technology Officer of Sfara, where they are responsible for the Sfara technology platform and App development, productization, and delivery to Enterprise and OEM clients.

Ari Valtanen attained an M.Sc. in Engineering Physics from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan.
