Martin Volaric

Contract Environmental Scientist at San Francisco Estuary Institute

Martin Volaric is an experienced environmental scientist currently serving as a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University and as a Contract Environmental Scientist at the San Francisco Estuary Institute since August 2022. Previously, Martin held postdoctoral researcher positions at both Stanford University and the San Francisco Estuary Institute from July 2020 to June 2022, focusing on water quality in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and coral reef metabolism in the West Pacific. Martin earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia in 2019, where dissertation research included the ecology of intertidal oyster reefs and their hydrodynamics. Martin also possesses a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science/Economics from the University of Virginia and has experience as a Cost Analyst at Booz Allen Hamilton, providing analytical support to the United States Marine Corps.
