Geoff Owen

Geoff Owen has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various industries. Geoff started their career in the United States Navy as a Naval Officer, serving in different roles on combat ships and as an Associate Professor at the Navy Reserve Officer Training Corps unit. After leaving the Navy in 1993, they joined Deloitte & Touch Consulting Group as a Manager. In 1996, they moved on to The Wilkerson Group, where they worked as a Senior Manager. In 1998, they joined Innovex as an Executive Director, focusing on Strategic Accounts. In 2000, they joined NovaQuest Capital as a Vice President, managing innovative risk-based partnerships and investments in the life science industry. Geoff played a key leadership role in formulating business development and corporate strategy. In 2010, Geoff joined Quintiles as a Senior Vice President, overseeing a 30-person international business development and sales team. During their time at Quintiles, they were responsible for new business and sales in the EU and US markets. Geoff also served as a member of the Executive and Strategic Planning committees. In 2014, they briefly worked as a Life Science Consultant and Business Development Advisor in the Pharmaceutical and Biotech Industry. Finally, since 2015, Geoff has been serving as the Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer at SFJ Pharmaceuticals, where they play a crucial role in accelerating late-stage clinical assets to global regulatory approvals through a unique co-development model.

Geoff Owen holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology, which they earned from 1990 to 1993. Prior to that, they received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature, General from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill between 1981 and 1985.
