Rebeca Mauleón

Rebeca Mauleón is a distinguished Professor of Music at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music since August 2016 and has served as the Director of Education at SFJAZZ since January 2011. Additionally, Rebeca has been a Visiting Assistant Professor at Mills College and a tenured Professor at City College of San Francisco, specializing in Latin American and Caribbean Music History, Jazz, and Latin Piano and Composition. As an accomplished Author and Music Editor for Sher Music and the Owner of Rumbeca Music, Rebeca has extensive experience in the music industry, contributing as a Pianist, Composer, and Arranger since 1977. Rebeca holds a Master of Arts in Music from Mills College and previously worked as a Musicological Consultant for National Geographic World Music and was a member of The Recording Academy until May 2011.
