Christophe Calvez

VP Backbone Director at SFR

Christophe Calvez has extensive experience in the telecommunications industry. Christophe began their career in 1995 at Ericsson, where they served as an Industrial Sizing Engineer and later as a Software Quality Responsible. In 2000, they joined Devoteam as a Project Manager before moving to Siemens in the same role, where they managed fixed and mobile Core Networks projects.

In 2006, Calvez joined Nokia Siemens Networks as the Service Project Director for Core switching Networks and later became the Head of Operation for France Telecom/Orange France, Bouygues Telecom, and FREE.

In 2012, they transitioned to SFR as the Deputy Director for the LTE/4G introduction program and subsequently held positions as the Director of Voice Core engineering, Technical Director of Voice Core, and VP, fixed access & Data engineering. In their current role at SFR, they serve as the VP Backbone Director and VP Engineering Director, overseeing teams and driving network optimization and technological advancements in areas such as SDN/NFV, 5G, data center, and more.

Christophe Calvez earned a Bachelor's Degree in science from sainte marie la croix Antony in 1987. Christophe then pursued an Engineer's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at FIUPSO (Engineer High School - Orsay-Paris XI) from 1989 to 1992. In 1987, they also studied at Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) to earn an Engineer's Degree. Later in 1994, they attended Télécom Paris and completed a Master's Degree in Computer Software Engineering in 1995.
