Fabian Schaller

Fabian Schaller's work experience includes serving as the Chief Medical Officer for Schweizerischer Fussballverband (SFV) since 2022. Prior to that, they were the Head of Sports Medicine at Medbase Gruppe from 2018. Fabian also worked as the Team Doctor for the U20 National Team at the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation starting in 2016. Fabian was the Deputy Chief Medical Officer for the Organizing Committee of the 2020 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship and served as the Team Doctor for the U-National teams at Schweizerischer Fussballverband SFV. Fabian was also the Team Doctor of GC Fussball at Grasshopper Club Zürich and served as a Sports Doctor for the Swiss Army's Spitzensport Bereich. Additionally, they worked as an Oberarzt Sportmedizin at move>med Uniklinik Balgrist and as the Team Doctor for U16-U18 National teams at Swiss Icehockey SIHA. Fabian started their career as an Assistenzarzt Rheumatologie at University Hospital Zürich in 2014.

Fabian Schaller completed their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in Humanmedizin from the University of Zurich, where they studied from 2003 to 2009. In addition to their degree, they also obtained several certifications. In 2017, they obtained a FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine from FIFA. In 2015, they obtained a certification in Metabolische Knochenkrankheiten SVGO from the Schweizerische Vereinigung gegen Osteoporose. Finally, in 2014, they obtained a certification in Sportmedizin SGSM from the Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Sportmedizin.
