Shannon Desmond

Shannon Desmond serves as the Lead Senior Instructor at SGI Global, LLC since November 2018 and as an Adjunct Instructor at Florida State College--Jacksonville since September 2017, specializing in law enforcement training. Desmond is also a Senior Partner at Insight, Responsible Firearms Training, LLC, a position held since April 2016. Earlier experience includes the role of Director of Security and Asset Protection at Sysco South Florida from July 2014 to December 2015, focused on security and asset protection strategies. Notably, Desmond has a background as a Law Enforcement Professional with L-3 Engility and L-3 from 2008 to 2013, advising the US Military on law enforcement in the Middle East and Afghanistan. Desmond’s career includes nearly 21 years as a Special Agent with the US Department of Justice, emphasizing investigations of federal firearms and narcotics violations. Education includes a BS in Criminology from Florida State University and graduate studies in Criminal Justice from Rollins College. Desmond holds an active TS/SCI clearance.
