Vanessa Ding

Vanessa Ding has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Vanessa currently serves as the Deputy Director, Talent at SGInnovate, starting in December 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Business Development (Asia) at Volition from March 2022 to November 2022. From January 2021 to March 2022, they held the position of Deputy Director, Strategic Innovation & Enterprise at A*STAR Bioprocessing Technology Institute (BTI). Before that, they were the Senior Manager, Incubation and Startup Management at A*ccelerate from January 2020 to January 2021. In their earlier years, Vanessa worked at the Bioprocessing Technology Institute, holding roles such as HBRA Control Officer, Associate Staff Scientist, Research Scientist, and Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Vanessa also worked briefly as a Senior Manager at the Experimental Drug Development Centre. Vanessa's career began as a Sales role at Applied Chemicals in 2000.

Vanessa Ding obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Stem Cell Biology from the National University of Singapore from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Queensland from 2001 to 2003. Vanessa also holds a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, which they completed from 1997 to 2000. In addition, they have obtained various certifications, including Impact Measurement & Management for the SDGs from Coursera in 2022, Accounting & Finance For Non Finance Managers from NUS Business School in 2021, and Certificate in Commercial Law and Technology Transfer from Temasek Polytechnic in 2019.
