Jason Wittig

Jason Wittig is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at SGL Carbon since July 2018, with prior roles including Senior Manager Engineering and Maintenance, Area Maintenance Manager, and Process Engineer. At SGL Carbon, Jason has demonstrated a passion for collaborative project work and has achieved success in design, theory, and implementation of innovative solutions. Before this, Jason worked at Alcoa Wenatchee Works from May 1999 to January 2016 as a Bakes Furnace Operator and Crane Operator, where maintenance of stoichiometric balance in underground furnaces was a key responsibility. Jason also honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an Infantry Platoon Sergeant from January 1995 to January 1999, receiving awards for outstanding conduct. Educationally, Jason holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Related Technologies from Central Washington University, completed in 2018.
