Alejandro Gonzalez

Alejandro Gonzalez is an experienced chemist with a career spanning over three decades in chemical analysis, research, and standard development. Currently serving as Chemist III at SGS since February 2024, Alejandro previously held the same title at Williams. With significant involvement in ASTM committees, Alejandro has acted as Secretary and Chairman for various subcommittees focusing on aromatic and cyclic hydrocarbons since 2009. Prior to these roles, Alejandro was the Director of Research at DCG Partnership 1, Ltd., contributing to the development of new standards and analytical methods. Alejandro's early career includes impactful positions at PDVSA Petroleos de Venezuela S.A. as a Research Chemist and as a Laboratory Auxiliary at La Salle Foundation of Natural Sciences. Alejandro holds a Licentiate degree in Chemistry from Universidad Central de Venezuela and a medium technician degree in Marine Biology from Fundacion La Salle de Ciencias Naturales.
