Eileen Ross Espiritu

Eileen Ross Espiritu, Ph.D., is a skilled metallurgist currently managing projects focused on battery recycling and nonconventional commodities at SGS since December 2022. With a rich background in academia and industry, Eileen served as a postdoctoral researcher at McGill University from July 2018 to November 2022, where project management involved additive manufacturing powders. Prior to that, Eileen was a PhD candidate and researcher at McGill, concentrating on the recovery of rare earth minerals from Niobec ore. Additional experience includes roles as a research metallurgist at TVI Resource Development and a junior metallurgist at ENK Philippines, along with contributions to various research projects in copper flotation technology. Eileen holds a Doctor of Philosophy from McGill University, complemented by a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of the Philippines.
