José María Hernandez-Sampelayo Matos

José María Hernandez-Sampelayo Matos has extensive experience in human resources and strategic projects. José María currently serves as the Vice President of Group Strategic Projects at SGS, a position they have held since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked at SGS Group Management Ltd. as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources from July 2017 to February 2022. Before that, they held the role of Managing Director at SGS Spain from September 2010 to June 2017.

José María also has experience in HR management, having served as the Western Europe HR Manager at SGS from March 2002 to August 2010. Additionally, they worked as a Human Resources Executive at El Corte Inglés from May 1987 to February 1996.

José María Hernandez-Sampelayo Matos has a Law Degree from Universidad de Alcalá, which was obtained between 1980 and 1985. In terms of professional development, they completed a Leadership Program at IMD in 1998, followed by the General Management Program at IESE Business School from 1999 to 2000. In 2006, they also pursued a Coaching program at IESE Business School. Additionally, they completed an Executive Programme at IMD in 2018.
