Sergio Castillo is an experienced clinician and project manager with a strong background in medical device evaluation, vaccine research, and healthcare provision. Currently serving as an In-House Clinician and Clinical Reviewer at SGS since February 2022, Sergio assesses clinical evaluations of medical devices in compliance with MDR regulations and relevant standards. Prior roles include a Graduate Trainee at the University of Antwerp, where Sergio investigated COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy in Oman, and Medical Doctor positions with First Things Foundation and Health&Help, where impactful healthcare programs were developed in underserved regions. Sergio’s medical expertise is further enriched by surgical experience gained in various hospitals, including neurosurgical assistance. Educational qualifications include multiple Master's degrees in Vaccinology and Immunology from prestigious European institutions, alongside a Doctor of Medicine and Surgery degree.
