Suman Laskar

Suman Laskar is a seasoned professional in microbiology and laboratory operations with extensive experience in managing and enhancing laboratory functions. As the Director of Operations - Food at SGS since April 2019, Suman ensures the validation of testing procedures and oversees employee training, while also creating policies related to laboratory operations and representing the organization to key stakeholders. Suman previously held the position of Assistant Manager - Microbiology at SGS from 2013 to 2019, where responsibilities included managing microbiology laboratory operations in compliance with ISO 17025 and GLP standards. Suman's career also includes roles as a Research Scientist at Abbott Nutrition Research & Development Centre, Assistant Manager Microbiology at Edward Food Research and Analysis Center Ltd, Executive Microbiologist at Mitra SK Pvt Ltd, and Sr. Microbiologist at Suguna Poultry Farm Ltd. Suman holds a Master of Science in Microbiology from KSR College of Arts and Science and completed secondary education at Balurghat High School.
