Ulrich Markens

Ulrich Markens has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Ulrich has held various positions at SGS, starting in 2007 as the Regional Business Manager for Asia-Pacific, then becoming the VP of Corporate Quality & Compliance in 2010, the Global Head of Operational Excellence in 2017, and finally the Global Head of Quality, Business IT & Business Excellence in 2020. Prior to SGS, they were the Site Manager at SGS Institut Fresenius from 2004 to 2007. Ulrich also worked at PharmalytiCon as the Technical Director from 2000 to 2004. Before that, they held multiple roles at AnalytiCon Group, including Lab Manager, Head of Business Unit, and Technical Director from 1988 to 2000. Ulrich began their career as a Scientific Assistant at the University of Applied Sciences, Berlin from 1985 to 1988.

Ulrich Markens earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Chemistry from the University of Applied Science in Berlin, from 1981 to 1985.
