Nick Bass McIpd

Nick Bass MCIPD has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Currently, they hold the position of HR Director EMEA & Global Design Division at SGS & Co, a role they started in May 2023. Prior to this, from November 2021 to April 2023, they worked as the Global People Lead at Kinesso.

Before joining Kinesso, Nick worked at dentsu for a significant period. Their roles at dentsu included Global HR Director, Creative Division (December 2019 to November 2021), Director of Strategic Learning (Digital, Data & AI, UX, Tech Alliances) - Dual role (December 2017 to March 2020), Global HR Director, CX & Commerce (Isobar Business) (March 2015 to December 2019), and HRBP UK & EMEA (January 2013 to February 2015). Nick also had a secondment in Shanghai from March 2017 to July 2017.

Prior to joining dentsu, Nick worked at WPP as an International HR Manager, EMEA, from February 2011 to January 2013. Nick also gained experience as the Lead Advisor, People & Change at Colt Technology Services from February 2008 to February 2011.

Their career started at Harvey Nichols, where they served as an HR and Training Advisor from March 2001 to December 2007.

Nick Bass MCIPD holds a BA Hons degree in Business Management from the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London. Nick is also a Chartered MCIPD Certified and has obtained additional certifications, including an Advanced Employment Law Practitioner certificate from CIPD in 2012, and a Leadership Programme from the Dentsu Management Institute in Tokyo in 2019. Nick has also gained expertise in Innovation Management from the University of Leeds in 2019. Nick has served as a Judge at the UK Employee Experience Awards in 2021 and 2022 and has been a Facilitator at the Young Marketer Academy during the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in 2018.
