Chad Barnes

Chad Barnes has had a long and varied career in the automotive, consumer, industrial, and agricultural sectors. From 2005 to 2006, they were an Automotive Technician at Stones Town and Country Motors Inc. and the Owner of Automotive Technical Solutions from 2006 to 2008. From 2008 to 2009, they were a Research Assistant at the University of Idaho National Institute for Advanced Transportation Technology. From 2011 to 2015, they were a Design Engineer and Design Engineering Team Lead at Toyota Motor Engineering and Manufacturing North America. From 2015 to 2019, they were a Team Lead/Product Development and Product Development Engineer at DISHER. During this same time, they were also an Online Instructor at Brigham Young University - Idaho. From 2019 to 2023, they were a Business Development Specialist, Director of Business Development, and Senior Engineer at SGW Designworks. Since 2023, they have been the Co-Owner/President of MetalTec and the Founder/Owner of Holeshot Concepts.

Chad Barnes received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Idaho between 2008 and 2010. Chad then obtained an A.S. in Automotive Technology from Brigham Young University - Idaho between 2002 and 2005. In 2014 and 2015, Chad attended the University of Michigan-Dearborn for Automotive Systems Engineering. In October 2018, they earned an Innovation Engineering Black Belt from the Innovation Engineering Institute.
