Ken Blalock has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Ken began their career as a Surface Warfare Officer in the US Navy, where they served from 1989 to 1993, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander and participating in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

After leaving the Navy, Ken joined US Steel in 1994 as a Maintenance Manager and held increasing levels of responsibility within the integrated steel mill. Ken was responsible for directing supervisors and union employees in a 24/7 maintenance organization, ensuring equipment availability, and planning outages for repairs and capital improvements. Ken remained with US Steel until 2001.

Following their tenure at US Steel, Ken joined Fluor in 2001 and held several key positions, including Director of Operations. Ken managed project management support services for IBM across 19 locations in the US and led a team of 125 members. Later, at the request of Alcoa Power Generation, Inc., they directed their capital project portfolio for strategic modernization and sustaining capital programs. This involved overseeing a $500MM investment across eight hydroelectric developments, including dams, powerhouses, hydro units, and transmission lines.

In 2016, Ken took a calculated risk by starting their own business as the Owner and President of The Flying Locksmiths. Ken built the franchise business from the ground up, implementing agile project management methodology and tight financial controls for a quick ramp-up with minimal resources. Ken operated the business until 2017.

In 2018, Ken joined National Steel City LLC / Aerotek Staffing as a Project Manager, where they were primarily responsible for managing the Alabama Power, Plant Barry Unit 5 Precipitator Rebuild project. Ken'sresponsibilities included reviewing and managing prime contracts, change management, subcontracting, procurement, reporting, invoicing, and estimating.

Most recently, Ken joined S&H Systems in 2020. Ken started as a Project/Program Manager, leading various material handling projects in warehouse fulfillment centers. Ken successfully completed the pilot sortation project and was promoted to Program Manager within four months. In January 2022, Ken assumed the role of Sr. Operations Director at S&H Systems.
