Mustafa Jafar

Mustafa Jafar, currently the Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer is a Chartered Accountant and brings with him over 18 years of experience in the field of investment, finance, commercial, sales & marketing, supply chain & business performance improvement.

His journey at House of Habib began when he joined HMPL in 2015 where he was responsible for the overall growth and profitability of the business. Over the course of the last 3 years, HMPL’s revenue has grown significantly and he has played a pivotal role in strengthening the relationship between HOH and its JV partner, METRO. His contributions towards the business has resulted in the approval of expansion plans, identification of new store locations and minimization of the impact on revenue from rent rebates, retail closures and lower interest rates.

Alongside the role of Senior General Manager – HMPL, Mustafa was assigned with the additional responsibility of the revival of a legacy business – Baluchistan Laminates Division (subsidiary of Thal Limited) in 2020. He put in place a core team and under his mentorship, they turned BLD into a profitable business within the year. He played an instrumental role in achieving the highest profitability that the business has seen in the last 15 years by working on the rehabilitation of the plant, bringing about enhancement and innovation in the production and quality control process which has led to improved product quality and customer image for BLD in the market.
