Miranda Carlson-Strain possesses extensive experience in program management, coordination, and recruitment with a focus on diversity and inclusion in STEM. Currently serving as Manager of National Program Operations and Alternative Programs Manager at Shad Canada since January 2022, Miranda previously worked at Western University from June 2019 to February 2022 as Recruitment Coordinator, enhancing diversity in the Engineering Program and overseeing various recruitment events. Additionally, Miranda has contributed to programs aimed at increasing STEM interest among underrepresented K-12 students. Prior roles include Research Assistant and Graduate assistant at Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Teaching Assistant at McMaster University. Miranda holds a Master of Arts in Anthropology from Memorial University and a Bachelor of Arts & Science with Honours in Anthropology from McMaster University, complemented by a study abroad experience at Maynooth University.
