Olawoyin Aro

Olawoyin Aro has extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management. They started their career as a Facilities Officer at Nigerian-German Chemicals PLC in 2010. They then worked as a Procurement Officer at Chipita Nigeria Limited, where they developed suppliers and price indexes for various materials.

In 2013, Olawoyin joined Dangote Industries Limited as a Procurement Officer. Here, they drafted procurement category strategies, implemented best practices, and ensured compliance with policies and procedures. They also coordinated payment of invoices with the finance team.

From 2017 to 2020, Olawoyin worked at Dabur International Ltd, first as an Associate Manager, overseeing the purchasing of goods and services, and then as the Manager of Procurement & Import, developing inventive and cost-effective procurement strategies.

In 2020, Olawoyin became the Procurement & Import Manager at Olympic Group Nigeria, where they engaged with departments and vendors, prepared procurement documents, and negotiated quotations and tenders for the purchase of goods and services.

In 2021, Olawoyin joined Hello Products Limited as the Procurement Manager, responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies, tracking and reporting metrics, and managing the overall direction and coordination of procurement for the facility.

Currently, Olawoyin is the Head of Sourcing, Procurement & Contract Manufacturing at Shalina Healthcare, where they coordinate manufacturing processes, drive continuous improvement programs, and monitor the performance of external manufacturers.

Olawoyin Aro earned an MBA in International Business Management from Lagos State University, completing this degree between 2014 and 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a B.Tech in Management Technology from Lagos State University, finishing this degree between 2003 and 2009. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including Project Management Foundations: Communication and Project Management Foundations: Procurement from LinkedIn in 2022. They also hold a certificate in Six Sigma Foundations from LinkedIn in 2022. Olawoyin Aro became a Fellow of the Certified Institute of Purchasing and Supply Administrators of Nigeria (CIPSAN) in 2022. Furthermore, they received a SAP Competence Certificate (Material Management) from Accenture/Dangote Group in 2013, and a General Health, Safety, and Environment certificate from the Nigeria Institute of Safety Professionals in 2011.
