Megan Thompson

UX Designer at Shamrock Trading Corporation

Megan Thompson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Megan is currently working as a UX Designer at Shamrock Trading Corporation since October 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a UX Designer at KRUTSCH from November 2021 to October 2022 and as a Graphic Design Specialist from November 2020 to November 2021.

Before joining KRUTSCH, Megan worked at Sure Lock Packaging Inc. as a Graphic Designer from September 2019 to October 2020 and as a Graphics Coordinator from May 2019 to September 2019.

Megan also has experience in the public sector, where they worked as a Graphic Designer (Contract) for the City of Saint Paul from July 2019 to October 2020. In this role, they designed infographics, developed brand identity guidelines, and created and revised departmental materials.

Earlier in their career, Megan worked as a Graphic Design Student Worker from October 2018 to July 2019 and as a Graphic Design Tutor from February 2019 to May 2019 at Minneapolis Community and Technical College. Megan also had an administrative internship at Minnesota Chorale from September 2014 to December 2014.

Megan Thompson's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Music Composition from Hamline University, which they completed between 2011 and 2015. Megan then pursued an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Graphic Design: Print Media at Minneapolis College from 2018 to 2020.

In addition to their degree programs, Megan also took continuing education courses at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design from 2017 to 2019. As a visiting student, they briefly attended the University of York in 2014 as part of their Visiting Student Programme.

Megan has obtained two additional certifications in the field of user experience (UX) design. Megan completed the "Start the UX Design Process: Empathize, Define, and Ideate" course from Coursera in June 2021. In May 2021, they also completed the "Foundations of User Experience (UX) Design" course from the same institution.
